Global Walkway offer an extensive range of Open Steel 'Forge-Welded' Gratings. Widely used in many industries such as; chemical and water treatment plants, offshore and petrochemical plants, factory mezzanines, racking and conveyor systems. Forge-Welded Gratings are regarded as the industry standard and one of the most commonly used flooring products manufactured.
Gratings are fully resistance welded, by creating heat at the metal intersection points of square or round cross bars and flat bearing bars. The resistance welding process produces gratings of high stability, maximum strength and optimal load distribution.
Open Steel 'Forge-Welded' Gratings are used in a wide range of industries for many applications such as; Mezzanines, Walkways, Platforms, Staircases, Ramps, Racking and Conveyor Systems, Facades and Fencing and many more applications.

The unique resistance welding process produces gratings of high stability, maximum strength and optimal load distribution. The open steel appertures provide excellent drainage and high slip resistance. Also the top surface of the load bars can be supplied with a machined serrated finish to give superior slip resistance. Minimal maintenance and low installation costs make it very cost efficient.

Available in various depths, thicknesses and with plain or serrated top surface. In addition, a range of smaller apperture mesh sizes gives the added safety feature of stopping objects from passing between the bars and increased areas of underfoot contact. Materials available are Mild Steel Self Colour, Galvanised or Stainless Steel in various grades. Grating comes in 6 metre x 1 metre panels as standard or alternatively we can cut and fabricate to your specification for immediate installation.
